SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Swings Its Way Into The Billion-Dollar Club

The Sony-Marvel deal continues to be a gigantic success for both studios!

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is directed by Jon Watts and stars Tom Holland as the web-slinger, has officially crossed the billion-dollar mark, making it the most successful standalone Spider-Man film of all-time.

According to The Hollywood ReporterSpider-Man: Far From Home has earned $333 million domestically and $672 million overseas for a total of $1.005 billion. The report also states that the latest Spidey film is only the second Sony movie to become a member of the billion-dollar club behind Skyfallwhich grossed a total of $1.1 billion in 2012.

While there was no sign of Spider-Man at Marvel’s legendary Comic-Con panel last weekend, there’s no doubt in my mind that we’ll see Tom Holland suit-up for a third web-swinging adventure.
